Chapter 3. Manuscript transcription and visualization

Working on a specific manuscript, it was important to have the object at the core of the project. An important part of the platform development is the manuscript viewer. In this chapter, we present the features that are available for the browsing and the study of the manuscript; we also share thoughts about the potential future improvements.

We will also report about an experience that is directly related to the transcription effort: the use of the Handwritten Text Recognition tool Transkribus.
